- Library of the Dr. Helmut Vester Archive (approx. 3,500 pharmaceutical works from the 15th–19th centuries on microform, and approx. 4,000 volumes of monographs and journals)
- Collection of historical medical records from hospitals in Bochum
- Over 900 volumes of medical history literature from the former German Medical Library in Berlin (formerly the Kaiser Wilhelm Academy for Military Medical Education), returned from the Republic of Georgia in 2003 as cultural property
